Posted: Tuesday, 25 January 2011, 10:54 AM
Most of you don't know that Mount Annan Botanic Garden has built a mountain bike track. The new facility has drawn a heap of attention from the mountain bike world and the beautiful setting will host its first major event in march. Saturday, 26 March sees round one of the Rocky Trail’s SHIMANO MTB Grand Prix Series hit the garden. Saturdays event consists of a series of four endurance races, of four hours or eight hour duration. For more event information, click here.
The following day the BANZAI LifeCycle MTB Fitness Series will offer rookies and weekend warriors to compete. But the Banzai LifeCycle is a personal challenge rather than a race. Think of it as a time trial where it is you against the clock rather than someone else. Riders can choose from three different challenges on offer, which vary only in length!
− The Breezin' Cycle - approx 10 km
− The Cruisin' Cycle - approx 25 km
− The Sweatin' Cycle - approx 40 km
If you would like to participate click here
If you would like to watch - you are more than welcome. Mount Annan Botanic Garden will be adding family friendly extras to make the weekend fun for everyone. Stay tunes closer to the event.
